Privacy Policy

This policy explains what PretendStocks.com ("the Game", run by GVG3 Solutions in Troy, Michigan, USA) collects and how we use it. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

• Game progress. Right now the Game saves your season in your own browser (local storage) on your device. It is not sent to our servers.
• Account details (when accounts are on). Your email address, a display name you choose, your season credits, and your game results such as grades and scores.
• Purchase records. What you bought and when. Payments are handled by Stripe, so we never see or store your full card number.
• Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the message and your email address so we can reply.
• Basic technical data. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site.

How we use it

To run the Game, sign you in with an email link, save your progress, process purchases, show leaderboards (display names only), answer your questions, prevent cheating and abuse, and fix problems. We do not sell your personal information and we do not run advertising trackers.

Who helps us

We use a few service providers who handle data only to do their job for us: Cloudflare (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), and Resend (sending sign-in and receipt emails). We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect the Game and its players.

Cookies and local storage

We use only what the Game needs to work, such as saving your season in your browser and keeping you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

Players aged 13 and up

The Game is for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Your choices

• You can ask to see, correct or delete your account information by emailing us.
• You can clear saved game data any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
• Your display name is the only thing shown to other players. Please do not use your real name if you prefer to stay private.

How long we keep it

We keep account and purchase records while your account is active and as long as needed for taxes, disputes and security. We delete or anonymize account data after you ask us to close your account, except where we must keep records.

Security

We use reputable providers and sign-in by emailed link instead of passwords. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes

If we change this policy in a significant way, we will post the new version here with a new date.
