Welcome to PretendStocks.com (the "Game"), operated by GVG3 Solutions in Troy, Michigan, USA ("we", "us"). By using the Game you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. What the Game is

PretendStocks is an educational game that simulates investing with play money in a made-up stock market. The companies, prices, news and events are fictional. Any resemblance to a real company or event is a coincidence.

2. Not investment advice

Nothing in the Game is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Results in the Game do not predict real-world results. Do not make real investment decisions based on the Game. We are not a broker, adviser or exchange, and no real securities are bought or sold.

3. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, please get a parent or guardian's permission before you play or buy anything.

4. Accounts

You may need an account to buy seasons or save progress. You sign in with your email address. Keep your email account secure, because anyone who can read your sign-in emails can use your account. Choose a display name that is friendly and does not include personal information. We may change or remove display names that are offensive or misleading.

5. Seasons, credits and payments

• You buy "season credits": 1 season for $5, 3 for $12, or 10 for $29 (US dollars). There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
• One credit starts one season. Credits do not expire, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred or resold.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number.
• Prices may change for future purchases. A price change never affects credits you already own.

6. Refunds

If something went wrong with your purchase, contact us at support@pretendstocks.com within 14 days. If you have not started a season with the credit, we will refund it. If a technical problem on our side kept you from finishing a season, we will fix it, restore your credit, or refund you. We decide other cases fairly, one at a time.

7. Fair play

• Play for yourself. Do not use bots, scripts, or exploits, and do not create several accounts to gain an advantage.
• Do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the Game, or look for hidden market data.
• Do not share spoilers that would ruin another player's market year, or post offensive content in display names.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

8. Leaderboards and prizes

Leaderboards, grades and records are for fun. Play money has no real value and the Game does not award cash prizes.

9. Our content

The Game, its design, code, characters (including Stock Split), fictional companies, text and artwork belong to GVG3 Solutions. You may play and share your results, but you may not copy or sell the Game or its content without our written permission.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Game running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update, pause or change features, including the market years. We may update these terms; if we make a significant change we will post it here with a new date.

11. Disclaimer and limits of liability

The Game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, GVG3 Solutions is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
